June Cooper

The Rev. June Cooper has been a part of the social service delivery system for more than 25 years, as a trainer and consultant to both local and federal Healthy Start programs and as an organizational consultant to community-based agencies working to provide culturally competent social services to children and families. Her experience includes serving as a Regional Administrator in the Boston Metropolitan Area Office of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, as Program Director for the Boston Healthy Start Initiative, and as Program Director for the Medical Foundation, Inc. Through these and similar positions, June has developed special expertise in facilitating public-private collaboration, designing and managing community-based programs, and linking community-based social service providers with grass roots community groups.

A graduate of the Master of Divinity program at Andover Newton Theological School and an ordained Baptist minister, June works to more fully integrate the principles that motivate faith-based organizations with those that inform the system of community-based social and human services. She currently serves as Executive Director of the City Mission Society of Boston.
