Health Advocacy, Guardianship, and Conservatorship Services
for Individuals, Families, and Service Providers
|
The complex legal, medical, psychological, and social dimensions of incapacity combine to create serious challenges for all who work with frail elders and adults with disabilities.
Whether we are providing periodic assistance to a person who needs support to obtain or sustain her or his independence, or intervening to safeguard the health and safety of an adult with serious mental illness or dementia who is being abused or exploited by family or friends, Northnode's social work oriented advocacy makes adult autonomy and dignity a priority of our practice.
- We provide advocacy and related services to individuals who need support in order to be safe and to access quality health and human services in their communities.
- We serve as court-appointed guardians, guardians ad litem, and conservators.
- We provide advice and counsel to individuals and institutions serving as guardians and guardians ad litem.
- We offer a unique and interactive training program on the legal, clinical, and ethical issues that arise in guardianship cases.
Northnode's primary provider of health advocacy, guardianship, and conservatorship services is Judith Lennett.
