Inter-system
Collaboration
Northnode
works across the traditional boundaries that separate organizations and
institutions to suggest and support integrated responses to persistent problems
such as domestic violence, substance abuse, and elder abuse and incapacity.
We have brought together and partnered with community-based providers,
advocates, and government agencies to:
- Facilitate
interagency collaboration on significant research and public policy
initiatives in the fields of family violence, child welfare, substance
abuse, and poverty policy
- Develop,
deliver, and evaluate training and education in the areas of domestic
violence and its impact on children, adult guardianship, and welfare
to work programs
- Articulate
and implement visions for integrated community networks of services
for children and adults impacted by family violence.
- Increase
the capacity of state agencies and private providers to work together
to serve low income survivors of domestic violence who are also struggling
with addiction
- Develop
and share an understanding of the power of art and the process of making
art to contribute to cultures of peace and non-violence
