Leslie Leath has over three decades of commitment to and experience in education and in community and government service, and has held a variety of management and organizational development positions in the private and public sectors. She has created education and training programs and developed performance and outcome measurements for private, nonprofit, and public agencies. She has directed the creation of information systems to support direct service work, and has managed staff, programs, and fiscal resources.
Leslie served as a consultant to the William Monroe Trotter Institute at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where she directed the completion of a study on the impact of rising housing costs in selected Boston neighborhoods and recommended strategies that the Anna E. Casey Foundation might adopt to bring housing-related services to residents of these communities.
As a senior level administrator, Leslie held positions at United South End Settlements; Massachusetts Alliance for Small Contractors, Inc., a nonprofit organziation serving small construction firms owned by people of color and/or women; Education Loan Services, Inc.; the Massachusetts Department of Corrections; and the Massachusetts Department of Education.
Leslie recently returned to the classroom and is currently teaching in the Boston public school system.
