Dianne Perlmutter has degrees in public health and social work and many years of experience related to HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, aging, and mental health. Her work has spanned direct services, management, and research and evaluation.
She is presently employed by JSI, Boston, Massachusetts as a program consultant and also serves on the public health subcommittee of the board of directors of the Cambridge Health Alliance. She is a past board member of Community Servings, Boston AIDS Consortium, Central Boston Elder Services, Upham's Corner Home Care Program, and a member of Boston EMA HIV Planning Council.
In her work at JSI, Dianne has directed the Rhode Island HIV Quality Management Initiative (helping to develop statewide standards of care for people with HIV/AIDS); has consulted to 18 CDC-funded HIV prevention programs across the United Stated, helping them to operatiaonalize a new HIV Prevention and Evaluation Monitoring System (PEMS); and has served as a technical assistance coordinator for a federal CSAP-funded project aimed at better integrating HIV and substance abuse services in communities of color.
